City of Portland's District 3 represents 167,000 people across 21 neighborhood associations in Northeast and Southeast Portland. Our district has a total of 74,800 households. Of these:
35,000 households have an income at or below $75,000
34,000 households are renters
16,000 households are severely rent-burdened
12,000 households lack broadband internet access
8,000 households have an income below the poverty line
District 3 is home to some of Portland's most well-known shopping and entertainment areas, featuring hundreds of small businesses along Belmont, Hawthorne, Division/Clinton, Woodstock, Foster, 82nd, and in the neighborhoods of Montavilla, and Roseway. District 3 represents a diverse range of small business needs, which I will support by collaborating with local business associations and working to preserve the character of these neighborhoods while the city undergoes large-scale changes to increase housing production.
